Free First Sunday at the Jackson Homestead

Free admission to Newton’s history museum, a documented Underground Railroad stop, on the first Sunday of every month.

The Jackson Homestead and Museum is a Federal-style 1809 farmhouse that the Jackson family opened to freedom seekers on the Underground Railroad. Today it holds Historic Newton’s permanent and rotating exhibits on the city’s past.

Admission is free on the first weekend of each month. Allow about an hour, and pair it with a walk around Farlow Park a few blocks away.

Where to find it
